My Biography

Architect Dr. Debashis Sanyal, is Dean & More Associate Professor in Department of Architecture, NIT Raipur. He has been teaching various architectural subjects including Earthquake Resistant Architecture since 1984. His active research areas of interest are Self Sufficient (Energy Efficient) Housing, development of Eco-cities, Super tall Intelligent buildings, industrialized (Prefabricated) mass housing and Indoor Air quality of residential interiors. He was awarded Justice Mahapatra Award for research by Rotary Club of Raipur Central, in 1995 and A3F Teacher Award by A3 Foundation Chandigarh, in 2019.
Till date he has published 43 research papers in journals and presented 61 research papers in national/international conferences by visiting 27 countries. Besides presenting 114 expert lectures in various reputed national/international universities, he is an individual Member of International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB), Netherlands. He is also member of International Association for Housing Science and Individual Member (Academic) of Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, USA.
