My Biography

Dr. Z.A. Parray has successfully completed his More Master’s degree in Biotechnology (M.Sc.) at the Department of Biotechnology, as well as his M.Phil and Ph.D. in Protein Biochemistry at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSc.) of Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, India. His research interests encompass Protein Dynamics and Folding, Cellular Macromolecular Crowding, and Protein-Drug Interactions. Following the completion of his Ph.D., he works as Research Associate (RA) for one year in Jamia Millia Islamia.
Dr. Parray has published over 10 first-author publications during his Ph.D. and has more than 15 publications in total, collaborating with laboratories specializing in various fields with three book chapters (two on the way). Upon completing his Ph.D., he applied for three National Award Fellowships: NPDF-SERB, RA-ICMR, and DHR Young Scientist. All three projects were accepted, but he ultimately chose the NPDF (DST-SERB) at IIT Delhi’s Hauz Khas campus, India’s leading institute. His research focuses on Protein Dynamics and Folding in a crowded environment. His work involves utilizing various fluorescence-based techniques and other thermodynamic binding techniques, with a particular emphasis on Ras-Binding Proteins (Rabs).
