My Biography

Dr. Khursheed Alam is a renowned mathematician and More educator known for his significant contributions to the field of mathematics. He completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, in 1999 and 2005, respectively. With over 15 years of teaching experience and a strong research background, Dr. Alam specializes in Fractals using Wavelet, Image Processing, Non-Linear Dynamical Systems, and Chaos Theory. His academic journey led him to Sharda University, where he has been a dedicated professor in the Department of Mathematics within the School of Basic Sciences & Research. Dr. Alam’s impact extends beyond the classroom; he has published numerous research papers in prestigious journals and authored five books aimed at undergraduate-level mathematics education. In addition to his teaching and research, he has also served as the Head of the Mathematics Department, contributing significantly to the academic community and the broader field of mathematics. Dr. Khursheed Alam’s passion for mathematics continues to inspire both students and fellow educators alike.

Zahid Hussain received his M.Sc. degree (2011-13) in Biochemistry from Punjab University Lahore, and Read More his M.S. degree (2014-17) in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) under the guidance of Prof. Fauzia Yusuf HAFEEZ (TI). He completed his Ph.D. studies (2019-23) in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) under the supervision of Prof. Renjun PEI, in the domain of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine domain. His research interests are interdisciplinary and focused on supramolecular chemistry, photo-functional materials, biomineralized materials, cell surface engineering, the development of fiber-reinforced spheroids, and the fabrication of cell-instructive surfaces and scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. Furthermore, he focuses on improving the compatibility, antifouling, and specific cell-homing properties of blood-contacting biomaterials. He has published up to 25 peer-reviewed papers (among them 11 papers as the first or corresponding author) in international journals (h-index 14).

I am Dr. Shamik Polley, and I am currently employed with West Bengal Read More University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata-700 037, India, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Biochemistry, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. My work focuses on the association between diseases and phenotypes in humans and animals and the structural variation of the genome. My PhD studies at the Department of Genetics, University of Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom, were funded in 2008–2009 by a National Overseas Scholarship from the Government of India. During my PhD research, a number of disease association studies were conducted in an effort to comprehend the genetic underpinnings of certain human diseases (including Crohn’s, AMD, UTIs, and COPD). I am proficient about a wide range of sophisticated molecular genetics methods that are frequently used to analyse differences in the human and animal genomes, such as ARMS-PCR, PCR-RFLP, DNA sequencing, PCR-SSCP, PRT, MLPA, PFGE, long-range PCR, Southern Blotting, and others. I am also acquainted with bioinformatics and statistical software.
