My Biography

Mr. Sonam Bhutia is presently working as Assistant More Professor-SWAYAM Co-coordinator-Cum-NCC Care taker Officer at Government Pharmacy College Sajong, Government of Sikkim, Sikkim University, Rumtek-Sajong, Gangtok-Sikkim-India; he is having more than 9 years of teaching and research experiences in the Pharmaceutical Field. He is the first person form Sikkim to receive the Prestige Award-SPER Young Teacher Award-2023 in Pharmaceutical field. He has one patent published and one grant patent, in total, he has published 9 research/review papers in Scopus, ESCI Indexed journals (UGC Care listed journals). Till now, he has written three books and three book chapters. He is a Lifetime member of educational and scientific communities like APTI, The American Society of Pharmacogosy and SPER, associated as an editorial team member for the two journals: Int. J. Pharma Investig and Int. J. Pharma & Chemistry, reviewer of more than 30 pharmaceutical sciences related journals (UGC care listed journals). SWAYAM Coordinator, ST/SC and Alumni In-charge of the present college, Serving as Examining Authority for Diploma in Pharmacy (EADP), governing body and alumni member of HPI, Majhitar, Paper Evaluator/Scrutinizer at college/university level. His passion is to read and write research/review related contents and aspire to become a Doctor of Pharmacy some day.
