My Biography

Dr. Aniket is currently working as an Associate More Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Before joining ICT, Mumbai, Dr. Aniket was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, Maharashtra, India. Dr. Aniket has a diverse educational and research background, encompassing a Bachelor’s in Microbiology, a Master’s in Biotechnology, and a Ph.D. (Tech) in Biotechnology. He has successfully carried out his doctoral research on the topic “Mycofabrication of silver nanoparticles by using different Phoma sp.”, under the able guidance of Prof. Mahendra Rai. His research areas of interest include fields like microbial biotechnology in general and Nanobiotechnology in particular. He received the Raman Post-Doctoral research fellowship from UGC, New Delhi in 2013-14 and completed his one-year Post-Doctoral research work in Professor Anne Anderson’s lab at the Biology Department, Utah State University, Logan. He visited the Department of Biological Chemistry, University of Campinas, Brazil from 6th to 21st Feb. 2011 under Indo – Brazil Collaborative Research Project. Dr. Aniket has completed several government-funded research projects and holds two National patents to his credit

Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
