My Biography

Dr. Mohammad Harun-Ur-Rashid serves as the More esteemed Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology. A native of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Dr. Harun-Ur-Rashid’s academic journey began at the University of Dhaka, where he completed both his BS (with honors) and MS in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology by 2006. Dr. Harun-Ur-Rashid was awarded the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship to pursue and complete his Doctor of Engineering by March 2010. Post his doctoral achievement, Dr. Rashid’s research excellence led to two consecutive postdoctoral fellowships at Nagoya University. A recognized expert in the fields of smart materials, nanomaterials, nanotechnology, soft materials, molecular machines, nanocomposites, nanobiomaterials, nanobiosensors, nanocomposites, and more, Dr. Rashid’s prolific research output is evident in his 22+ publications, which include original articles, reviews, and book chapters. His work has graced journals of repute like Chemical Record (Q1, IF 6.935), Scientific Reports (Q1, IF 4.6), RSC Advances (Q2, IF 4.036), ChemPhysChem (Q2, IF 3.52), Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Q2, IF 2.829), Topics in Catalysis (Q2, IF 2.781), Micromachines (Q2, IF 3.523), ChemistrySelect (Q2, IF 2.307, CiteScore 3.6), among others. To date, he has accrued an impressive total impact factor of 35.334 from his various contributions to these esteemed publications.

Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
