Scientist F (Senior Principal Scientist) and More Coordinator of EIACP (Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme) Centre on Forest Genetic Resources and Tree Improvement at the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education), Government of India at Coimbatore. PhD in Forest Genetics. First rank holder for both graduation and post-graduation in Forestry from Kerala Agricultural University. Has 27 years of experience in the field of forestry research. Has released three productive clones of Casuarina equisetifolia suitable for sodic soils. Recipient of the Rolla S Rao Award constituted by the Indian Association of Angiosperm Taxonomy for the best research on biodiversity conservation in India. Also the recipient of National Award of Excellence for Outstanding Research in Forestry constituted by the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education. Nodal Officer of Green Skill Development Programme implemented by the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.
