My Biography

Dr. Arvind Singh Tomar after receiving B.Tech. More (Agril. Engg.) from JNKVV, Jabalpur obtained his PhD degree in Irrigation & Drainage Engineering in 2010 from GBPUAT, Pantnagar. He is working at same department of university since 2003. His prior work experience includes Manager-in-charge of Centrally located Technical Services Department of Irrigation Systems Division of erstwhile M/s EPC Irrigation Limited at Nasik (Maharashtra) and Research Associate (Soil & Water Conservation Engineering) at Indore campus of JNKVV, Jabalpur. He is having 28 years hands-on experience on Agricultural Climatology, Artificial Neural Network, Automation of Irrigation Systems, Decision Support System, Geographical Information System, Irrigation Water Management, Microirrigation, Natural Resource Management, Remote Sensing, and Web-enabled Agricultural Spatial Decision Support Systems. He was honoured by Young Scientist Award of state of M.P. in year 2003. He is serving 24 journals as member/Editor-in-chief of Editorial/ Reviewer Board of Journals/ Extension Magazines of international and national repute in addition to affiliation as Life Member with 13 Professional Societies. He has attended number of International and National Conferences/ Conventions/Seminars/Symposiums and delivered invited lectures as well. He is having more than 165 publications on his credit so far.

I completed B. Arch from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology and has been teaching Read More Architecture at undergraduate level at Bangladesh University since 2017. I have been involved in several research projects. My research interest based primarily on human wellbeing in indoors and outdoors; and innovative solutions for human settlement and urban environment issues. My research work consists of analyzing the effect of indoor greens on occupants’ wellbeing, proposing temporary design solution for floating population, and proposing vertical greening on flyover pillars to mitigate UHI effect and air pollution. I was also a member of peer review committee in UIA 2023 conference.
