My Biography

I am a postdoc in Harvard University in USA. I More have been actively involved in the field of PARASITOLOGY for more than 10 years. I am currently working on the mechanism of antibiotic resistance in Neisseria gonorrhoeae. My previous research interest focused on the mechanism of antigenic variation in Trypanosoma brucei. I am also interested in developing targeted therapy against parasites using novel small molecule inhibitors.

Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
