My Biography

Dr. Venkata Ravindra A’s primary focus of research More is the preparation of novel materials for energy conversion and storage. He is currently guiding four Ph.D. students, working on the synthesis of porous materials such as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and activated carbon and studying them towards environmental remediation and energy conversion and storage applications. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology, China from 2018 to 2020 during which he worked on the microwave solvothermal synthesis of nano ferrites, nano semiconductors, nano ferrite-semiconductor composites, MOFs, and ferrite-MOF composite materials for the photocatalytic and adsorptive treatment of heavy metal ion contaminants in water. For his Ph.D., he worked on the synthesis of ferrite and cobalt oxide nanoparticles of various morphologies via thermal decomposition and fabrication of highly epitaxial ferrite thinfilms using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique and study of their structural, magnetic, and optical properties.

Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
