My Biography

Dr. Ankush Kumar Jain is an accomplished academic More and researcher in Civil Engineering, specializing in sustainable waste management and advanced construction materials. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Poornima University, Jaipur. With a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering, Dr. Jain has made significant contributions to the field, particularly through his research on alternative geomaterials for landfill liners. He has published over 50 research papers, including seven SCI-indexed articles, and has authored five book chapters. His innovative work has earned him research grants, including from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Rajasthan. Dr. Jain has over nine years of teaching experience, guiding numerous M.Tech dissertations and Ph.D. scholars. He is also proficient in structural engineering software like STAAD Pro and AutoCAD, which he integrates into his research and teaching. A recipient of the Best Faculty Teaching Award at Poornima University, Dr. Jain is actively involved in professional organizations and has played key roles in organizing academic conferences. His work continues to influence sustainable practices in civil engineering.

Hello everyone, I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
