My Biography

Professor Abdolreza Jamilian is a researcher and More specialist in the field of Orthodontics. He received his D.D.S. (1991), MSc in Orthodontics (1998), and Fellowship of Orthognathic Surgery & Craniofacial Syndromes (2011) from the Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran. He obtained his European Board of Orthodontics in 2013. Now he is a Module leader at the City of London Dental School, University of Bolton, London, UK, and a professor at Islamic Azad University in Tehran. He has lectured at several international congresses and has been a consultant for various journals. He has published over 200 original, peer-reviewed research and review articles, 15 book chapters, and more than 300 scientific communications. He holds three patents in the United States Patent and Trademark Office as follows: USPTO: Jamilian A, Showkatbakhsh A, Method and System for Treatment of Maxillary Deficiency Using Miniscrews. My current research focuses on addressing the global challenges posed by plastics wastes and Read More greenhouse gas emissions with the hope of improving human wellbeing through the protection of the environment. Plastics wastes and greenhouse gases have been found to have disastrous effects on the environment and the human ecosystem culminating to sever health challenges which is a threat to the existence and growth of humans. Hence, the need for urgent attention in confronting the imminent danger inimical to our existence. In an effort to address the issues highlighted, I am currently working on three research topics, viz.; Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) filled composites for strategic applications, Fabrication of filament extrudate from recycle PET bottles for 3D printers and Mechanical storage of renewable energy.
