My Biography

At present I am a Dean School of Sciences and More Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology, Guru Nanak College (Autonomous), Chennai- 42. I have around 19 years of Teaching Experience and 25 years of Research Experience. I had Completed 2 Major projects under UGC and has Guided 15 Ph.D candidates and presently 6 Ph.D scholars pursuing their degree under me. I have guided 20 M.Phil students and presently 3 M.Phil scholars are pursuing their degree.

Hello everyone,
I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
