Mr. Ganesh Jorvekar is a ‘Professor’ turned ‘Entrepreneur’ cum Counsellor and Mentor for students Start-ups. He had a vision to take education to highest level. Currently he heads the Department of Computer Technology, Sanjivani K.B.P. Polytechnic, Kopargaon. Ganesh has been awarded by EGSI and WPU(United Kingdom) for his contribution towards education with “Excellence in Education” in 2020; He is awarded as an “ICON of Asia” by Global Empire events, “HoD of the Year” award by InSc in 2022 and “Dimond of Asia” recently in 2023.Mr Ganesh holds a Master’s Degree and PHD from RKDF College of Engineering, Bhabha University, Bhopal. Additionally, Mr. Ganesh has also done MBA(HR) and two master Degrees in Data Science and Business Analyst. Before his foray into education Field, he has worked in Industry for 2 years. In his corporate avatar, he has held a Developer position in IT Industry. His areas of expertise include Software Development, Solving critical problems using Data Science and Machine Learning. Hi there to all of you! I am Dr. Shamik Polley, and I am currently employed with West Bengal Read More University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata-700 037, India, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Biochemistry, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. My work focuses on the association between diseases and phenotypes in humans and animals and the structural variation of the genome.
My PhD studies at the Department of Genetics, University of Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom, were funded in 2008–2009 by a National Overseas Scholarship from the Government of India. During my PhD research, a number of disease association studies were conducted in an effort to comprehend the genetic underpinnings of certain human diseases (including Crohn’s, AMD, UTIs, and COPD). I am proficient about a wide range of sophisticated molecular genetics methods that are frequently used to analyse differences in the human and animal genomes, such as ARMS-PCR, PCR-RFLP, DNA sequencing, PCR-SSCP, PRT, MLPA, PFGE, long-range PCR, Southern Blotting, and others. I am also acquainted with bioinformatics and statistical software.
