My Biography

Dr. Henda Mahmoudi works as Plant Physiologist at More the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prior to her current role, she had worked as a researcher and contractual assistant professor with the National Institute of Scientific and Technique Research in Tunisia. Her main research interests are Plant Eco-Physiology, Plant-Biology, Water Conservation, Soil Improvement, and Salinity Management. In 2008, Dr. Mahmoudi obtained her PhD in Plant Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis El Manar and the National Institute of Scientific and Technique Research currently the Centre of Biotechnology of Borj-Cedria (CBBC), Tunisia.
She has published more than 55 research publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and proceedings and she is leading different projects.
Dr. Mahmoudi is currently an Alumnae of the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) and she served as AGYA active member since 2013. She was a member of its Steering Committee and served as member in charge of the Working Groups Energy, Water and Environment; Common Heritage and Common Challenges, Innovation & the Working Group Arab and German Education.
