My Biography

Dr. Waseem is an Associate Professor and Head of More the department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Waseem completed his PhD in molecular medicine from prestigious research institute known as Dr. Panjwani Centre for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research), under the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, Pakistan in January 2016. Dr. Waseem currently have worked as Post-doctoral fellow at Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Research, Aga Khan University, Karachi Pakistan. He also have worked as Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow at Centre For Biotechnology and Microbiology, University of Swat, Pakistan and Lawson Health Research Institute St’ Joseph Hospital, Western Ontario University, London, ON, Canada. At Lawson Health Research Institute St’ Joseph Hospital also spent some time as Visiting PhD researcher. Dr Waseem published in his area of research and presented many times in International Conferences, Such as American Diabetes Association Conferences.
Dr Waseem research interest and experience focus on stem cells biology and drug discovery through screening of new potential small molecules using in vitro and in vivo assays and determine their mechanism(s) of action by combining cellular, molecular and biochemical approaches in differentiation of stem cells toward insulin producing cells.
