My Biography

Dr. Meeramani N currently librarian at JAIN More (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore. She has a total experience of 23 years. Emerging technology, innovative library services, and curriculum development are some of her areas of interests.
She has published over fifty research papers in national and international journals and conferences, three of which were at IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Indore. She was a resource person in the 30-day NEP-aligned Guru Dakshta Faculty Induction Programme held at JAIN (deemed-to-be University) in Bangalore from November 2 to December 7, 2022, and January 19 to February 14, 2023.
• Received the Best Librarian 2023 State Award from the Government of Karnataka.
. Felicitated at the JGI Annual Awards Ceremony- 2016 for outstanding contribution in the field of research.
• Won the best paper award at IIM Bangalore on December 16-18, 2015.
• Won the best paper award at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) on December 19-20, 2014.
• Designed and developed curriculum matrix and syllabus for BLISc and MLISc program at JAIN
(Deemed-to-be University) during March 2022.
• Organized Board of Studies (BOS) meetings for the Faculty of Library and Information Science on April 11, 2022 and May 7, 2022.
• Served as a resource Person to the Curriculum Revision Workshop for Library and Information Science” held from May 20, 2019 to May 24, 2019 and February 25, 2020 to February 29, 2020 at the NITTR, Extension Centre, Bengaluru, India.

Hello everyone,
I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
