My Biography

Abhishek Sharma, hailing from Palampur in Himachal More Pradesh, initiated his academic journey in 2006 with a diploma, followed by a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in 2010 from SLIET, Longowal. His academic prowess was evidenced by his qualification for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2013. In 2016, he achieved a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree from Beant College of Engineering and Technology, now Beant State University. Commencing his doctoral research in 2019 in the Department of Electronics at Guru Nanak Dev University, he focused on photonic radars for Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and intelligent transportation systems, culminating in his doctoral thesis submission in August 2023.
With over a decade of teaching experience from 2010 to 2020 at Sri Sai University, Palampur, Abhishek enhanced his pedagogical and engineering skills. As a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and an early career member of OPTICA, he actively pursues cutting-edge research, earning recognition as one of the Top 2% most cited researchers by Stanford University. Abhishek’s passion for advancing knowledge in photonic radar technology and intelligent transportation systems underscores his unwavering commitment to innovative research and teaching in electronics and engineering, evident in his 50+ publications in SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals and a notable h-index of 16.
