My Biography

Dr. Prashant Tiwari is an Associate Professor at More the Department of Pharmacology, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. He received his Ph.D. from Siksha O Anusandhan (Deemed to be) University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has rich teaching and research experience of 13 years. He was a regular fellow of the ICMR, New Delhi. He is a lifetime member of multiple professional bodies such LASAI, APTI, SPER, ERDA, PESOTS, and IPES. He has several awards in his recognition such as Dr. P. D. Patil National Award for Best Thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences-2022, Young Scientist Award, Young Talent Award, and Best Teacher Award. To his credit published 65 papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored 9 books, 6 book chapters, 07 patents in his credit in the domain of pharmaceutical sciences. His current Google Scholar h-Index is 13; i18-Index No. of citation 675. He guided 09 M. Pharm and 03 Ph.D. scholars at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. His research areas include Neurodegenerative disorders, drug interaction, PK/PD, and Metabolic disorders.

The isolation of NTM species from humans, Mycobacterium virginiense is the second time to be Read More isolated from Human sputum in the world and water,
Mycobacterium fortuitum highlighted that active and ex miners are at potential risks of acquiring pathogenic NTM from mining environment.
The study has reviewed that they are NTM circulating in the mining environment and humans (active and ex miners) in Zambia which are potential pathogenic in immune comprised individuals.
The identification of these Mycobacteria in clinical samples and environmental sources was important for both clinical and patient management, It will also help formulate policy change in understanding transmission factors that increase NTM transmission in mining
