My Biography

I have completed 29 Years of Experience as Library More Professional in various reputed HEI in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
I did my Ph.D in Bharathiar University under the guidance of (Late) Dr. M. Tamizhchelvan, Librarian, Gandhigram Research Institute, Dindigul and the topic of my thesis is “Analysis on Spacecrafts Research Output: A Bibliometric Study based on Scopus Database”.
My area of interest are: Bibliometrics/Scientometrics/Webometrics, Library Management, Digital Libraries, ICT Applications on Library Services, User Education, etc.
I got my B.Sc., (Physics) from University of Madras, M.A. (Public Administration), B.L.I.Sc., M.L.I.Sc., from Annamalai University. So far I have published 19 Journal articles and 15 |Conference papers in the Library and Information Science.
I have successfully completed two online courses through Swayam Platform. Attended oneAICTE- ATAL Academy FDP programme in 2020 and going to attend one more FDP Programme in December 2023 at Coimbatore. The Academic Council of uLektz recognized me as one among the Top 50 Outstanding Librarians across India for the year 2019. Also, contributing my professional services as Editorial board member in four journals published in India and reviewer in one journal published from USA. I am also actively participating in professional activities and life member of two LIS forums MALA and SALIS.
