My Biography

Born and raised in a small village in Nepal, my More early fascination with the different colors in fireworks ignited a deep curiosity about the elements and their emission of photons. This curiosity led me to pursue a Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Jose Almirall, where I delved into the fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry and its wide-ranging applications.
Following the completion of my Ph.D. at Florida International University, I embarked on a new chapter in my career. From 2015 to 2019, I had the privilege of working as a lab supervisor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In this role, I oversaw the operations of the Microanalysis Lab and continued my research in elemental and thermal analysis. During this time, I also collaborated on interdisciplinary research, contributing to a publication in the esteemed journal Science, which highlighted the potential use of a molecule from a Cyprus tree species for treating iron deficiency in living cells.
Today, as the lab director at North Carolina A&T State University, I utilize state-of-the-art technologies to characterize materials. My work involves utilizing gas and liquid chromatography hyphenated to various detectors, enabling comprehensive analysis of a wide range of samples. In this capacity, I support the scientific community at A&T by providing valuable analytical insights and contributing to research endeavors.

Dr. Shalini Aggarwal, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is an Read More Associate Professor of Finance at Chandigarh University, Mohali. She has a total work experience of 18 years of industry and teaching. She is MBA with specialisation in Finance and PhD in the area of Risk Management Practices in banking sector of India. She has more than 40 research papers published in Scopus and Web of Science and listed in ABDC. Her case studies are published in IIM Ahmedabad case centre. She has also authored 2 edited books published by Taylor and Francis. She has completed three funded research projects (two with IIM, Ahmedabad) and one by IMS Ghaziabad. She has conducted more than 25 workshops on data analysis using time series data in SPSS, E-views and R-Studio and has delivered guest lectures at national and international level like South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil. Further, she has chaired session at national and International conferences in the countries Thailand, Indonesia. She has 8 copyrights and 1 patent in her name and acts as reviewer for emerald, inderscience and sage publications.
Three students have completed their Ph.D with her. She has floated one special issue with the Journal of Sustainable finance and investment of Taylor and francis entitled “International Finance and Sustainability”. She has become the associate editor of the journal “Journal of Sustainable finance and investment” and “Asia pacific financial market”.
