My Biography

Dr. Harish H T has been working as a Librarian More (Selection Grade) at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, and having 18 years of experience. I completed my Graduation BA (Criminology, Psychology and Sociology), Post-Graduation, M.L.I.Sc., M.Phil degree & PhD from the University of Mysore. His area of research includes library management, digital library, electronic resources, promotion of digital / electronic resources, promotion of usage of library resources and Library and Information Science. He has published 28 papers, 4 book chapters in edited books and 1 book. Currently, 5 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D under the authors guidance at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The authors project proposal (NAVIKA: Simplified and self-driven digital platform to retrieve exact resources) approved with grant amount of Rs. 16,23,008/- from Science and Engineering research Board (SERB) for 36 months under core research grants category. The Author served as an Academic Council Member of Sai Vidya Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2022. Author serving as a member of the Doctoral Committee for Library Science Board of VTU. He has been associated with the Indian Library Association (ILA), Karnataka State Library Association (KALA) and the Indian Science Congress. He was awarded with a prestigious award, Kannada Seva Rathna Prashasti by Kannada Sahitya Parishattu Bengaluru District Unit.
