My Biography

Prof Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma received his Ph.D. More from the University of Delhi, India. He is an Elected Fellow of six Professional Societies/Association/Institutions and Academies. He was conferred DSc (honoris causa) by Dr KN Modi University, Rajasthan in 2020. He superannuated as Director, DFRL, Mysore, on 31 July 2018. Later, he served as the Vice-Chancellor at the SIMATS, Chennai during 2019-21. His latest stint was as the Pro-Chancellor at SGT University, Gurugram for over a year.
Dr Sharma was awarded the International Fellowship – Senior Biomedical Scientist of the ICMR in 2008. His seminal contributions include MRS studies of living cells for pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics investigations, development of Radioprotectors, and phytopharmaceuticals against antibiotic-resistant pathogens, Pharmacoscintigraphic technique for targeted formulation evaluation, and Novel multi-dentate ligands-based formulations/wipes/kits and Susnan series of Radiation Decontamination Systems. He carried out translational research in Innovative food preservation and biodegradable packaging technologies, food silos, immuno-based and magnetic nanoparticle assisted aptamer-quantum dot-based biosensor for detection of food / waterborne pathogens and designed/developed a mobile BSL-3 containment testing facility named PARAKH.
His passion for research and academics has resulted in 7 granted and 13 published patents, over 300 peer-reviewed papers, 17 edited books, and 58 book chapters.

Sangeeta Kakkar is an assistant professor of clinical psychology at Shoolini University and a Read More Research Scholar. Delhi is where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her postgraduate degree in clinical psychology. Kakkar is a committed teacher who is passionate about learning how previous trauma affects people’s lives and actions.
Kakkar had clinical experience through internships at several hospitals and healthcare facilities before beginning her academic career. She was exposed to a range of mental health issues during her three months as an intern psychologist at Lok-Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital in Delhi Gate, India. Kakkar also worked as an intern in Fortis Healthcare Limited’s Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, where she worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disease.
Kakkar’s academic achievements are her B.Ed. and qualified UGC-NET Assistant Professor test. Additionally, she was successful on both the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test and the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Kakkar is now conducting research on the stress, coping mechanisms, and mental health issues that parents of children with developmental impairments encounter.
Till now I have published research articles in International peer review journals. Looking forward to working more in the field of clinical psychology.
