My Biography

Lăcrămioara RUSU, Associate Professor Habilitate, More PhD Eng., teaches at ”Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacau from Romania, Faculty of Engineering, Chemical and Food Engineering Department, in the fields of chemical engineering and food engineering (since 2002). She became a PhD supervisor in environmental engineering field from 2022 when she sustained her habilitation thesis. She got doctoral degree in 2001, in the field of Chemical Engineering at “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania. Her research in recent years has focused on obtaining biocomposite materials with applications in food industry and environmental protection. Her scientific interests are centered around the valorization of bioresources, food industry by-products and waste. To this end, she pursues an interdisciplinary approach to obtain biosorbents, biopesticides and functional foods by incorporating bioactive compounds. She has published more than 110 scientific papers from which 15 in Q1 and Q2 areas, was involved in 17 interdisciplinary research projects and 2 patents. The recognition and visibility of scientific research on national and international level is sustain by the 11 Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI) Awards and the Hirsch indexes achieved: h-index Google Academic is 19 and h-index Scopus is 16.
