My Biography

I pursued my Ph. D degree from the Department of More Life Sciences, Manipur University, Canchipur, in 2012. I worked on the soil and plant parasitic nematodes associated with Manipur’s mulberry plants. I studied the taxonomy, ecology, and biocontrol methods of nematodes. I completed my post-doctoral research at the same Institute in 2016. I worked on the characterization of Aphelenchid nematodes from the Northeastern states of India. I have discovered 12 species of phytonematodes. I have 2 published books, 4 book chapters, and 32 research articles published in the National and International journals of repute. My interests in research areas are- protozoa associated with different animals, Helminths, Phytonematodes, and Ectoparasites.
