Franklin Buh Chu

Hello Dear Great Scientific minds
I am Franklin Chu Buh, a final year PhD fellow at the University Read More of Buea Cameroon, and the NIHR Global Health Research Group for Acquired Brain and Spine Injury of the University of Cambridge (UK). My recent works are in the fields of traumatic brain and spine injuries and neurorehabilitation. My recent research “Buh FC, Sumbele IUN, Maas AIR, Motah M, Pattisapu JV, Youm E, Meh BK, Kobeissy FH, Wang KW, Hutchinson PJA, Taiwe GS. Traumatic Brain Injury in Cameroon: A Prospective Observational Study in a Level I Trauma Centre. Medicina (Kaunas). 2023 Aug 28;59(9):1558. doi: 10.3390/medicina59091558.” addresses traumatic brain injury considered a “silent epidemic” in a poor country like Cameroon, it outlines the characteristics of patients and discusses disparities of care that occur between low and high-income countries. Also, I outlined the need for early neurorehabilitation to improve outcomes of traumatic brain injury in a recent publication at BMC Medicine ” Buh FC, Hutchinson PJA, Anwar F. Early neuro-rehabilitation in traumatic brain injury: the need for an African perspective. BMC Med. 2023 Aug 4;21(1):290.”. In recent years, I have also pioneered traumatic brain biomarkers research in Cameroon and Sub-Saharan Africa. Other areas of my research have focused on work-related musculoskeletal disorders and topics that generally deal with Physical Therapy.
I am pleased to share and most importantly to learn from you all
