My Biography

Dr. Venkata Ravindra A’s primary focus of research More is the preparation of novel materials for energy conversion and storage. He is currently guiding four Ph.D. students, working on the synthesis of porous materials such as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and activated carbon and studying them towards environmental remediation and energy conversion and storage applications.
He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology, China from 2018 to 2020 during which he worked on the microwave solvothermal synthesis of nano ferrites, nano semiconductors, nano ferrite-semiconductor composites, MOFs, and ferrite-MOF composite materials for the photocatalytic and adsorptive treatment of heavy metal ion contaminants in water. For his Ph.D., he worked on the synthesis of ferrite and cobalt oxide nanoparticles of various morphologies via thermal decomposition and fabrication of highly epitaxial ferrite thinfilms using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique and study of their structural, magnetic, and optical properties.
