My Biography

Engr. Dr. Promise Elechi received his B.Eng. and More M.Eng. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, Nigeria, in 2006 and 2011 respectively. He obtained a PhD in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria, in 2019. He is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the International Association of Engineers (IAEng), the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) USA. He is also a registered practicing engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Between August 2018 and October 2019, he was the consultant to Nigeria’s House of Representatives committee to investigate the health implications of mounting GSM masts close to buildings. He is the chairperson (Hardware Development) technical consultant team to the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). He is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and he was also the head of the Computer Engineering Department at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt. Dr. Elechi is also a researcher with the Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering (CITE), University of Port Harcourt.

Hello everyone,
I am presently working as Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Atmiya Read More University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My major research areas are pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, development of herbal drug formulation. Three Ph D students registered under me who are presently working in different domains such as antidiabetic, immunomodulator and anticancer herbal drugs. I have guided 7 projects of UG students under SSIP (Student start up and Innovation Policy) scheme of Gujarat Government. I have selected as Mentor in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at AICTE, New Delhi to guide two interns for their project works. I am very interested to guide students in various research areas such as evidence based studies on traditionally used drugs and formulation as well as development of herbal drug formulations.
