My Biography

Dr Sushma Muchukota currently working as Associate More Professor, in Department of pharmacy practice in Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Bangalore. She pursued Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program in Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER) Autonomous affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA) Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh. She is a Gold medalist in her college for her excellence in academics (Pharm.D-83%) and now She is perusing (Ph.D) in Department of Pharmaceutical sciences from VELS University, Pallavaram, Chennai. She is having 7 years 5 months experience in teaching, and IT Sector. she is a editorial board member in Many National and International Journals, peer reviewer in European journal of Hospital Pharmacy (EJHP), Pharmatutor and also in other many journals she is the advisory board member and she is member in ethical committee also and also in charge for PharmD activities in the college and Hospital. She has published nearly 50 research and review articles in International and national journals to her credit. She has published 2 book chapters and 1 book on her credit, She has filed and granted 3 International patents, presented nearly 12 poster and 15 oral presentations with best prizes. She has guided 10 PG projects and 5 UG projects and 2 projects are under guidance.

The isolation of NTM species from humans, Mycobacterium virginiense is the second time to be Read More isolated from Human sputum in the world and water,
Mycobacterium fortuitum highlighted that active and ex miners are at potential risks of acquiring pathogenic NTM from mining environment.
The study has reviewed that they are NTM circulating in the mining environment and humans (active and ex miners) in Zambia which are potential pathogenic in immune comprised individuals.
The identification of these Mycobacteria in clinical samples and environmental sources was important for both clinical and patient management, It will also help formulate policy change in understanding transmission factors that increase NTM transmission in mining
