My Biography

Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hannan is a Professor in the More Department of Law, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He Completed LLM in Human Rights law with the DFID-Commonwealth Shared Scholarship from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2000. Dr. Hannan Obtained PhD in Human Rights from the University of Rajshahi in 2006 with Intellectual Advancement Award (IAA). He conducted postdoctoral research in the Faculty of Law, Rajshahi University under the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2009 (July 2009-June 2010) entitled “Education Training and Human Resources Development with special reference to the Prisoners in Bangladesh”. He has published three books and some forty research articles in different recognized academic journals at home and abroad. He has been associated with a good number of research projects nationally and internationally. Recently he conducted a research work as leader of a team of six researchers of Package-1 entitled LEGISLATIVE RESEARCH FOR IDENTIFICATION OF DISCRIMINATORY PROVISIONS IN EXISTING LAWS OF BANGLADESH under the Legislative Research and Reform for Promoting and Enforcing Non-discriminatory Laws and Policies Project, 2019, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, The People’s Republic of Bangladesh (March 2019-November 2020). He is a life member of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh. He has been participated in a good number of seminars in Bangladesh, India, UK, France and Germany.
