Pratap Basim is currently working as Formulation More Scientist III, Product Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics in 2020 from Long Island University at Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of scientific societies including American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Compaction Simulation Forum, He is reviewer for International Journal of Pharmaceutics, Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, Aerosol and Science and Technology, American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientist (Abstract screener), A journal of neuroscience, and Archives of Gastroenterology Research. He has published many research papers and book chapters in internationally well-known peer reviewed journals. He is also serving in the editorial board of many renowned Journals.

My current research focuses on addressing the global challenges posed by plastics wastes and Read More greenhouse gas emissions with the hope of improving human wellbeing through the protection of the environment. Plastics wastes and greenhouse gases have been found to have disastrous effects on the environment and the human ecosystem culminating to sever health challenges which is a threat to the existence and growth of humans. Hence, the need for urgent attention in confronting the imminent danger inimical to our existence. In an effort to address the issues highlighted, I am currently working on three research topics, viz.; Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) filled composites for strategic applications, Fabrication of filament extrudate from recycle PET bottles for 3D printers and Mechanical storage of renewable energy.
